KAPAHAKA @ EAST GORE
Our senior students are very fortunate to have tutoring sessions in kapahaka. Today the boys worked on their actions and learnt the words for the haka. The girls focus was on using the poi correctly and implementing simple commands.
Thanks to Terry Stott, our tutor Charles and his helpers for their time and dedication to this programme.
TAKE 5 ROOM
A huge thanks to Donna McCullough who is up and running our wonderful Take 5 room. This facility allows Mums and members of our community to come along, have a coffee, establish frienships and participate in a variety of activities. From fitness to pampering, clothes swopping and crafts Donna has something for everybody.
If you are keen to come along and check it out pop down to East Gore School, Wednesday mornings 10am. You won't be disappointed!!!

LIBRARY LEARNING & LEADERSHIP DAY
Mrs Hook, Rubin, Crystal, Griffen & Kayla travelled to Invercargill this week to participate in a library learning & leadership day. The kids looked at the role of a librarian, shared their knowledge of books and were lucky to explore the libraries of Waihopi, Otatara & Donovan Schools.
A big highlight was doing a "Shout Out" on the radio of Waihopi School. Thanks Mrs Hook for organising and trainsporting the kids (0:

SPORTS DAY!
On a very windy Wednesday 2 March 2011 East Gore School pupils showed off their athletics skills. It was so neat to see Room Kowhai kids giving 100% effort and dedication to sports day.
Red faces, yellow hair, green tights and blue hats were keeping in theme with our houses - ka pai kids!!
Mrs Dana Turnbull is very proud of the achievements of her students and thinks they are awesome. Look out for our Eastern representatives....
